A Kind request to Swamis on Yatra to Sabarimala
Carry only Pure Honey, Turmeric Powder in Irumudi. Avoid Products like Adulterated Rosewater or Honey which are
cheap which are made using chemicals
NO TO PLASTIC
o USE BIODEGRADABLE PAPER COVERS which packing ( Aval, Malar, Vibhuthi [Bhasma], Kumkum, Turmeric
Powder). PLEASE DO NOT USE PLASTIC COVERS IN IRUMUDI AT ANY COST.
Lakhs of People drink pamba water daily, So its our duty to protect our dakshina ganga with any pollutions especially
plastic
Please do not use/leave waterbottles, candles or balloons for PambaVilakku. Pambavilakku is done to respect the river
and Thank Pamba. So do not indulge in any activities which will Pollute our Dakshina Ganga
Please do not throw clothes or Plaintain leaves into Pamba. There is no such known ritual.
Swamis are requested to not carry any Plastic items, Even if deemed necessary, Please take extra care to not to leave a
drop of plastic in the Hills and surrounding hills. Instead of Plastic consumables, Please use bio-degradable plates or
Plantain leaves for Annadhanam. Please note that the food leftovers in plastic plates might be taken in by Animals,
causing harm to them. So please avoid them.
Please do not throw Plastic covers of Biscuits, Chips Chocholates glucose etc., in SabariHills or surroundings, you might be
harming innocent animals, which consume them.
Three innocent elephants died in sabari hills in the last 3-4 years had traces of plastic in their
stomach !.
Courteous to Elderly and Manikandas and Kochu Maligapuram Swamis.
o One of the Benefits of Vratham Rituals is to increase the ability to withstand situations which are not in comfort
zone, which inturn increase your Sahana Shakthi ( Patience). Lets take the PadaYatra with immence care and
concern for the fellow swamis, especially children(Manikanda Swamis)and Elderly swamis. Please do not involve
in pushing or haste in the Traverse path. Please assemble in places where light is available, So that we don’t
get into situations of Pullumedu during panic. Lets traverse the whole path with emaculate Sahana Shakthi.
Petta Thullal
o Kindly request all ayyappa Swamis to Use Natural, Non-harmful colours eg., Kalabam or Sandal Paste. Please
do not use Chemical colours. They harm you and the water which we take bath after Petta Thullal.
o It is also advisable to take Sandal Powder with you for this ritual, If you feel you will not get in Erumeli.
